Paro is a small town situated in the Paro Valley of Bhutan. It is one of the most fertile as well as historic valley of Bhutan which is the widest in the kingdom. It is home to 155 temples and monasteries dating back to the 14th century and also Bhutan's sole international airport. The Paro Airport is the largest international airport of Bhutan and has been one of the prime locations for numerous tourist visit. It is known to be the most challenging airport to land on. Tiger's Nest is known for the trek that has been carried on for years. With a total distance of 6.4 KMs, the trek offers mesmerizing views of the Paro Valley. The mystery of how it was constructed in such conditions still amazes people. It is one of the few sites in Bhutan which was visited by Guru Rinpoche, who is also referred to as 'Second Buddha'. Chele La Pass is located at approximately 13,000 feet between the Paro and Haa valleys. It is the highest motorable road pass in Bhutan, famous for stunning Himalayan views including Mt. Jhomolari (Bhutan's most sacred peak at 22,000 feet), Tsherimgang Mountains, Jichu Drake, and panoramic views of both the Paro and Haa valleys.
